As you might have guessed, this blog is not really Muppet-themed. But looking at my recently installed site meter and seeing that people are visiting makes me want to replicate Prairie Dawn's behavior in the first part of this Muppet Show sketch, transcribed here in its entirety:
Prairie Dawn (sweet little girl Muppet): Look! I have a balloon!! Yaaaaaaaaaay! Yaaaaaaaay! Yaaaaaaaaay! YAAAAAAAAAAAY!
Monster: [pops balloon]
Prairie Dawn: WAAAAH! WAAAAH! WAAAAH! WAAAAAH!
Monster: [evil grin]
Needless to say, monster rocks. But occasionally I do get the Prairie Dawn urge to jubilantly scream "Yaaaay!"
If you're wondering, by the way, where to find this jewel, I believe it's included on a video called "Gonzo's Weird Stuff," which also includes a monster singing "I've Got You Under My Skin" to another monster who is literally under his skin. Totally worth a look. Later posts may include the story of my traumatic reaction to early Muppet-Show-watching.
