The best thing about the party I just got back from was that it was warm enough to stand in the backyard, drinking beer (from a keg, no less) and schmoozing, mostly with people I knew.

I didn't talk to many non-grad-school folks, but they were the majority of the party, which was refreshing in itself.

Second-best thing about the party: tentative plans made to see Dave Chappelle's Block Party later this week.

Third-best thing: a friend was wearing clip-on earrings (yellow clusters of flowers).

Fourth-best: I can walk home leisurely, check blogs, and enjoy the fact that there are still two days of spring break left.
