I can't get over this. I went to the doctor's office to get a travel consultation and some shots for later this summer, and she offered me a choice - for the same price, I could get a typhoid vaccine injected that would last for 2 years, or take it in a pill form that would last for 5. So sure, I opted for the pills. Only then did I learn
A. I can't drink (alcohol) on the days I take the pills (one pill per day, every other day for a week). I haven't started taking them, but I'll have to time it very carefully.
B. You're supposed to keep the pills in the fridge. Now I have this small box in my fridge that says "live typhoid vaccine." Simultaneously awesome and kinda creepy.

That not-drinking on pill days sounds like a pain. Though having typhoid in the fridge is kind of neat.
I know - I kinda just want to keep it in the fridge for a long time, just to savor the bizarreness.
