...but I'm whining. More like sniveling in front of the computer.
Remember that super-civil, seemingly productive email conversation we grad students were having about one of our departmental exams? Without going into the details, it took a turn for the worse involving some serious email-related tone misreadings. Everything is (I think) cleared up at this point, but I just feel like I lost my cool, and also lost the feeling I had the last couple of days of being actually quite helpful. The word I want to use is "unmanned," which is wrong for several obvious reasons, but does mean that my "courage and spirit" have taken a blow (according to the online dictionary).
