end-of-semester thanks

I am thankful that neither this semester, nor ever again do I have to write three seminar papers concurrently. Writing (only) one feels like an absolute luxury. Especially because it's not a full-scale research paper, which means I can write about Garcia Marquez without worrying that I (ahem) speak no Spanish. Slightly irresponsible? Yes. Probably useless? Yes, although it has prompted me to read Barthes' "Introduction to the Structural Analysis of Narratives." I love that man and his taxonomization.
