Dr. Curmudgeon has the intriguing idea that, as we use leap days to reorganize the year, we should take this opportunity to re-punctuate or otherwise reorganize a text. In this season of political rivalry, I've had
Kang and Kodos on my mind, particularly Kodos' inspirational speech as she's running for president, disguised as Bob Dole. It needs very little re-punctuation, but a few formatting changes will give you a sense of the poetry of the cadences.
My fellow Americans.
As a young boy, I dreamed of being a baseball.
But tonight I say: we must move forward, not backward. Upward, not forward! And always
twirling,
twirling,
twirling towards
freedom!
Kodos: go ahead! Throw your vote away!

I also dreamed of being a baseball. And any Simpsons reference anywhere is appreciated.
Ha. I thought you might. (Both.)
